Morning all! I was just wondering if PBH has an airport shuttle from MCO? If so, is it complimentary or is there a fee? I would think that considering the cost of the rooms that they would offer a free shuttle service...but I'm fairly certain that just isn't the case!

thanks! Trying to book cars and figure things out for our very first visit to Harry Potter!!

:goodvibes

No, there isn't a shuttle. In comparison to Disney, the rooms are actually very well priced. If you compare any of the three hotel room prices to the prices of comparable hotels like the Beach and Yacht club, you'll find that you are getting a very good deal. Also, the free unlimited express passes are a huge value! It allows you to enjoy the parks in less time saving you extra nights at the hotels.

You can catch a Mears shuttle at the airport for $19/person, $30 round trip. It will provide you with the same service as the Magical Express.

For example: On August 8-9, Beach Club water view is $430, Portofino is $364, Hard Rock is $359 and Royal Pacific is $299. All three of the Universal Hotels are deluxe hotels within easy walking distance to the parks.

Thanks for the info! much appreciated. I'm sure we will enjoy our stay before we head over to Disney.

if there are at least 3 in your party that needs the transportation from airport to hotel, it would be cheaper to use a car service or taxi rather than mears shuttle.

$19 x 3 = $57

Yup, a taxi will run you about $50 with tip.

We already decided to use Tiffany Towncar. They have a very good deal for a "two stop" service. It's $175 round trip. That is for an SUV (only vehicle that will hold four suitcases and four people. They say their towncars fit four people and four pieces of luggage. We spent 30 minutes last summer trying to puzzle piece the luggage into the trunk to make it fit. SUV was MUCH roomier!) Taxes and tolls and a grocery stop are included in the price. We have always used Tiffany Towncar. I didn't know they did a multi-stop service. Glad they do!!:thumbsup2

thanks for the information everyone. very much appreciated!!

I agree. Time is money! I'll always go the most efficient route. That is the one thing I really dislike about Disney's Magical express. It took us an hour and fifteen minutes to get to the airport from Contemporary in June. I won't do that again!
