Shula's Steakhouse at the WDW Dolphin permanently closing in June

There were a lot of steakhouses concentrated in the same area and I guess someone had to go. The man would’ve been sad and insisted we make a farewell ADR.
Me? Not so much. My days of steak as regular going out food are over.

Holy Steak, though, those prices! At least at the Vegas location. I'm not looking to spend that at a steakhouse on a Disney trip. I'll do that at home when I'm not splurging on a zillion other things during the same week.
You're looking at Vegas prices. Vegas location is at the 4 seasons. Maybe the Orlando location will be a dollar or 2 less.

It should appeal to convention attendees, with an expense account.

Yachtsman can increase prices and look like a bargain

A perfect evening Bourbon Steak for dinner and Cake Bake for dessert.

I've been to multiple Bourbon Steaks apparently (FS locations) and they are VERY GOOD....the DC one gave you fries with dipping sauces instead of bread to start and they were so good we begged room service to let us order them the following nights :)

This makes me sad. I am a huge steak snob, and the single most important factor for a good steak is beef quality. It's not that hard to learn to season, sear and cook a steak to perfection, so the factor that sets it apart is the beef.

Shula's used USDA Prime beef. I believe that Bull and Bear does as well, but all the other steakhouses at WDW use USDA Choice meat. I don't understand why people rave about Le Cellier or Steakhouse 71, because they are literally/objectively not on the same level as Shula's.

Did the Shula's Steakhouse chain file for bankruptcy? Because I have never heard of Shula's Steakhouse? But it seems to me when famous celebrities develop their own restaurants some do work out while some fail. Look at what happened to Kenny Rogers Roasters? Kenny Rogers Roasters was gonna be even bigger but it too failed and now you can only find Kenny Rogers Roasters restaurants in Asia. And the late Toby Keith had his own restaurant chain too. What I think happened with Shula's Steakhouse is that they were in heavy competition with other steakhouse chains such as Ruth's Chris and Texas Roadhouse and if you go to Nevada and go to either Reno and Las Vegas many of the hotels usually have big deals on their steak dinners to get visitors to try their steaks. Because these days it's hard to find a great steakhouse and with chains like Applebee's and Tony Roma's selling steak along with Chilli's Shula's Steakhouse couldn't keep up with other competition in steakhouse chains

They did not. They used to specify Shulas cut which by their own admission wasn't USDA Prime. The company changed after Don died. I think they changed suppliers.

I'm shocked you never heard of Shulas. It was in the Dolphin for at least 30 years
