Does anyone know if Shula's has a kids menu? Is this a restaurant best saved until the children are older? I'm not worried about my DS who is 15 and can out eat my DH!:D My DD on the other hand, is 10 and doesn't eat red meat-chicken tenders and PB&J are her staple foods:D

Thanks for your help!

I have a PS in about 2 weeks and I'll find out about the kids menu.

Keep in mind that Shula's has a "business casual" dress code policy. They made that very clear when I made my reservation.

Thanks, that would be a great help:D

At the risk of sounding totally uninformed, What is 'business casual' ? I was thinking "nice" dress, but does this mean DH & DS need to wear jackets? Thanks again.:D

Business casual would mean chinos or slacks(not shorts of any kind and not jeans of any kind), or a skirt for a woman, as well as generally a collared shirt for men and a nice blouse or sweater for a woman. It doesn't mean suit and tie, although a sportcoat and open collared shirt over chinos or slacks wouldn't be out of place.

The same thing would aply to children. Of course infants and toddlers could get away with cute shorts sets, although I do'nt know that I would bring a child who wasn't in school yet to dine there. JMHO.

Thanks for the quick reply and the info!

I was not sure what to expect, but we went on a Fri. evening with our 3 children 16, 13, and 11.

It was the absolute best! They treated our chlidren VERY well. While there is not a childrens menu the side dishes are enough to share, and they even offered a smaller cut of filet to our youngest.

We saw several families there, my family likes to get "gussied up" but others were in shorts and nice shirts and did not seem out of place.

As I said I was unsure about taking our children there but everything turned out great an older party of 2 couples even started a conversation with the kids and teased them about ordering the chocolate souffle cake. We will definately be going back to this restaurant.:D

And it's not enforced. I've seen all types of dress on my visits.

If you're interested in sharing an entree, there is a $10 service charge for this (still better than wasting food).

Also, they don't use MSG in anything that they serve, so if DH is interested in going, I won't have to slap him silly........

;) ;) ;) ;)
