Yes - I know its not Disney - honest !!

Anyone done this yet ? DD2 (almost 3) loves the movie - is it suitable or will she find it too intense ?

Tracey

It's absolutely fantastic ! We did it 3 times during the summer and we all now constantly quote Shrek from the ride - it's not easy trying to do a fake Scottish accent when you're Scottish !

As for too intense it's difficult to say without giving too much away. Perhaps think of ITBAB @ Animal Kingdom with more movement (hopes that's not too cryptic).

A word of warninng - wait times were always 100 mins during the summer (we stayed at HRH so used Express). MIght be quieter when you go but recommend doing first thing.

Thanks Garry

Have to admit I haven't done ITTBAB - have a thing about creepy crawlies :o so I can't really imagine what its like !

Shrek is one of the best theme park attractions in Florida.

Suitable for all ages.

Massive queues in the Summer of two plus hours. Only 15 or so minutes during September.

Shrek is brilliant!! (even if itsn't Disney....)

Our Ds's 4 and 5 loved it.....and they hate ITTBAB. The pre-show was so funny!!

I thought it was more like Muppets 3D than ITTBAB - with a few more surprises. If you DD is finding it a bit intense the you could always remove her glasses.

BTW - the merchandise in the shop is just too tempting - especially the Gingerbread Man cuddly......
oh not my gumdrop buttons..... I just had to buy him.......

:bounce: Hi Guys
You have just freaked me out because my 2 DD love shrek and have been looking forward to the new ride, but will absolutely freak if they see spiders, also me , we are all arachnophobes in my house. If it will spoil it for peple could someone send me a private e-mal with more detail.
thanks nicky

There's a thread on the Universal/Island of Adventure board that has some information on the spider aspect of the ride. I HATE spiders and freaked out in ITTBAB the first time. But after reading this thread, I think we're going to try Shrek, at least once.

Read here and you'll get some information.

That link is great - thanks !

I'll just leave DD2's glasses off -(and maybe mine too lol!)- for the first few minutes and we should all be fine :D

Tracey - you'll be there just about the same time as us!

Hope you enjoy it - I've decided to warn my DS about the spiders and reassure him that after that, the rest is not scary. Hope this is the right decision, and hope we haven't been misled!

Yes - I'm going to go down the fore-warned is fore-armed route too !

Both my DDs love Shrek so much I think they'll survive a spider :Pinkbounc

I can't wait to try Shrek out next month ~ It sounds fab.
