OK, we went to see shrek 2 today............... WOW, it is so funny and toooo cute. We loved it!!! Everyone go see it, you won't be disappointed. My fav. part........... DH laughing his head off!!!LOL

The parodies were worse than Bill & Ted and are not limited to fairy tales like Pinocchio, Three Blind Mice, Three Pigs, Fairy Godmother (Evil?), Snow White, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Hansel & Gretel but they go after The Matrix, Babe, Crouching Tiger...,Lord of the Rings and my favorite was Pinocchio's Mission Impossible.
TIP:
Do not leave the theatre when the credits come up. My family was the only ones left in the theatre to see the surprise ending featuring Dragon and Donkey.

I can't wait to see this with my kids! We are waiting until we are at Universal to go see this in June! :) Thanks for the tip about the ending!! :)

Thanks for the heads up:wave2: We'll stay planted in our seats until the very end. We're seeing it at the Citywalk Cineplex after the Shrek breakfast at USF. Can't wait:hyper:

Great to hear!! My mom and I almost saw it yesterday, and were even driving to the theatre, but we knew my dad would want to see it too, so I had us wait...he was coming home from an out of town business trip anyway...maybe this weekend I can see it! :)

Does anybody know if the latest DVD release of Shrek w/ bonus Shrek 3D is the same movie as the attraction.

If it is, I think it would be a big mistake to release the movie to the public so soon.

We saw it last night too!! What a GREAT movie! We laughed and laughed - definitely not just for the kiddos!

Motherfletcher - I'm glad you saw the ending too! We were the only ones left as well! We always stay until the lights come up - just to be sure we don't miss anything! There was a whole theater of people who will be saying, "I didn't see that part!"

Puss in Boots (voiced by Antonio Banderas) is a great addition to the cast of characters! Those eyes!!

Go see it - you won't be sorry!

The strange thing was that the lights came on and everyone left. We are such big fans of Donkey (DD10 has the talking plush) and of the Red Dragon that I'm glad we stayed.
Antonio said something in Spanish and my wife, who interepts, was the only one to laugh in the theatre. My son who is bringing home an A in Spanish IV Honors didn't have a clue. I asked her later and she couldn't remember.

Thanks for the hint........we wouldn't have stayed around if we didnt' know that! Are there "bloopers" during the closing credits?

OH NO............ guess we'll have to go back and see it again........ We missed the end!!!! :(

YES, the 3-d movie that was released with the original shrek movie, is indeed the ride attraction at the park!! There was a thread dedicated to that a week or so ago. Many of us, myself included were upset about it........ since the advertisement, and labeling were a little misleading!!! I wouldn't have paid $20 for a 13-16 minute movie!!!!! had I known!!

Anyway............ we loved shrek 2!!!! It was really great!

I didn't even know about this!! Thanks for the heads up, I am off to check it out now!! :)

I did not see that either. Glad I checked this thread. I will go over and check that out!

Saw the movie today and it was awesome! The movie rips on everything (I think my fav was the parody of "Cops" with the pepper mill and the catnip or pinnochio's thongs), with a ton of Disney digs as well! Now, I can't wait for our trip June 15th to Universal/IOA more than ever!

Thanks for the heads up about staying after the first set of credits. My daughter, her best friend, and I were the only ones left in the theater. I wanted to start telling people "wait, there's more", but nah.......plus it was kind of neat having the whole place to ourselves!

Great! I will be seing this tomorrow! Can't wait.

My hubby & I took our DS to see it at the drive-in last night. It was such a good flick! Felt like we laughed non-stop. Hubby's fav part was when Shrek woke up after drinking the potion--the three chicks all oohing and ahhing...saying they could be true to him...and the last won says something like "I could be true, almost."

Was VERY ticked, however....I told my son to keep watching because there was "something special" at the end (after credits)...well, stupid *ss movie operator skipped the extra ending and went right to their dumb intermisson advertisements! grrrrrrrr:mad:

anyone care to share what happened?

**********************SPOILER******************

Donkey feels sad and bad that he left Dragon at home.. Dragon comes flying in.. only to suprise donkey with babies. They have a donkeys body, dragon wings, and blow out fire, its funny, lol

Funny ! Funny ! Funny ! I love it when I can take a 6 yo to a movie and both of us can laugh ourselves silly ! :rotfl:

:rotfl:

- now I can't wait to bring him to USF in Dec and take him to see Shrek 3D!!

Saw it Saturday, started out a little slow but ended on a roll. Puss in boots was a great character, and thanks to all for advising not to leave before the end credits. The fairy tale characters were hillarious.
