We will be checking out of BWV on Saturday, but our flight is not until 8pm. Is there any place to shower and change at BWV after you have checked out but before heading to the airport? I imagine after a day in the parks I will be hot and sticky and would definitely want to at least change clothes. What do you guys do with late flights?

I'm not sure about all the hotels, but as DVC members, all of the DVC resorts we have stayed at have locker rooms with showers and changerooms by the pool - and if you are at BWV, I know for sure we've done it there! They had hairdryers in the women's changeroom as well. So you're good to go for relaxing by the pool, hitting the parks or whatever, and then getting freshened up for the trip home.:thumbsup2

Thanks iluveeyore! This is only our second DVC stay, so I have yet to stumble upon these locker rooms. Do you know, do these locker rooms have soap in the showers? I'm very excited about not being icky on the plane ride home.

I've stayed at BWV many times (at least twice a year) and have never seen these facilities in the bathrooms. The only place I know of at BWV to change and shower is at the gym near the main pool. Just sign in at the desk and you will be able to use the facilities there (same for WLV and BCV).

Thanks n2mm, I'll be sure to head to the gym for a shower! I'm also going to poke around and see of I can find this mysterious pool locker room.

These are the changerooms I'm thinking of - sorry, it's been about 10 years since we stayed at BWV - the ones at OKW are by the pool and you use your room key to get in, and they have full shower, changing and vanity areas in the ladies one. We've also done this at AKV Jambo by the gym on a day we arrived too early and did some pool time before freshening up with a shower.

Yes, the OKW ones are the only ones I know of too! I use to think that they didn't have showers in the restrooms at the other resorts to discourage non-guest usage (but that's JMHO).

They also have them at the Kidani Pool area.

I love the late flights home, but get stumped as well as to changing clothes. Did not know about the lockers at Muscles & Bustles. So, question, how late on your check-out day do you have access to resort facilities?

There is a very small, I believe two stalls and a handicapped stall, no soap, no shower at BLT...lockers outside the bathroom area by the pool. We left suits there when we checked out that morning, went to MK and came back to swim for the afternoon on checkout day (we were transferring to OKW). They said showers were available by the gym area at the contemporary...too lazy to drag the DGD that far, as we were going back to MK for CRT reservation at 5pm...worked out PERFECT! BCV has showers, hairdryer wonderful room in the gym area close to SAB. I'm told VWL has the same facilities...time will tell for our November/December trip.

Are these facilities only for adults, since most are located in the gyms?

In January I took my two year old in with me at the beach club with no questions asked. I told them we were just going in to use the shower/changing room and I don't think we even signed in. Of course we had SAB wristbands on, so I guess they knew we were onsite guests.

We've done this several times at BCV. We just check out luggage with bell services, put our carry on bag with change of clothes in a locker at the fitness center and enjoy the afternoon in the pool. The fitness center locker room has everything needed to shower, change, and get comfortable for the ride home. BWV has a fitness center too, so I'm sure the same is possible there.
