I love this thread!

Ok, I have around 18 pics, so instead of putting a link to each, I used a slideshow making program. Just click the link and then click on the first thumbnail in the index page. The slideshow will start automatically and change pictures every 5 seconds.

Please can someone tell me how to post pictures. Thanks

ok, I am not a professional, but thanks to Dan, I think I got the hang of it. Here is how I do it...
1. Upload your pics to www.imagestation.com
2. after it is uploaded click on the picture to preview it.
3. Right mouse click the picture and go down to properties.
4. Find the address or URL and copy it.
5. now when you post a reply click the IMG botton in the vB Code section above the text box.
6. paste the URL into that box.
7. Now repeat the steps above for each picture you want to post.
8. Submit reply.

It is a little frustrating at first, so if you need help just let me know.

One more step here. After your picture is uploaded to imagestation, look for the icon button to click on to go to your storage bin (that's what it is called). Click that button, then all your pictures will show up. When there, click on the small thumbnail picture of the one you want and a larger one will pop up. It is from THAT one that you get the url from. If you get it from the first picture you see after upload, or the thumbnail, it won't work correctly.

And if you get stuck, just post a help post on the Tech board, located bottom of the main menu........... http://www.disboards.com/index.php?s=

I LOVE this thread!

What would be even BETTER is if you posted what kind of camera you have ....and if picture was taken with automatic settings or manual settings.

Can you tell I might be camera shopping again?

Thanks!

Oh yes, I forgot to ask that, thanks Splsh, most recently here of TwoOldPoohs. What are you using?

In answer to the question here, all mine are on an out-of-date Nikon 995. Most day shots are automatic setting, most low light, night, backlit and 'tough' light shots are manual, and all different ones at that. Great thing about digital, no cost to take a hundred, a thousand or 10 thousand practice/test shots.

Yeah what he said..... :) :teeth: :)

TwoOldPoohs your pictures are beautiful!

Is that Andy Garcia doing the reading?

Robinette: Thank you! Yes, that's Andy Garcia. That was taken last year. I'm looking forward to seeing both Jim Caviezel and Marlee Matlin this year!

Dan: I have been a member for a long time, although I rarely post. I lost my post counts twice a couple of years ago (remember those crashes?). I've always enjoyed your photo threads, and it was you who inspired me to post my pictures, hoping others would enjoy them as well. To answer your question, the TON and Wilderness Lodge photos were taken with an older point-and-shoot 35mm film (gasp!) camera. The others were taken with either the Olympus C2100UZ or the Canon Digital Rebel. This year I'll be taking my new Canon 20D with me. With its ability to take low-noise photos at ISO 3200, I'm hoping to get some good nighttime and indoor shots. We're going to MNNSHP in two weeks, and I'm determined to get a shot of the headless horseman this year!
