I don't do layouts. I only participate in swaps and put together multiples of elements in hopes that one day I will actually get to sit down and use them on a page...

Thanks everybody! You made me feel a lot better! I think maybe I stare at my pages too long trying to decide between papers/eyelets/stickers etc & then they seem so ordinary to me. It's great to have some input from others.

I just posted my pages from my first circle journal on TwoPeas. For all the agonizing I did over those pages, I'm not very happy with the end results.

I like them - I to find myself dissatisfied with pages after I have done them but when I look back at them years later, I think "what was it that I didn't like about this page, it is fine."

What do people do with the tags after they have decorated them? do they put them in the sign in pocket or do they adhere them to their page? I have seen a couple of layouts with tags but I am not sure how they are used. (this is my first time participating in a CJ)

For the CJ they just put the tags back in the pocket. For my regular pages I just use the tags as an accent piece. Sometimes I attach them to the page with adhesive or eyelets/brads/etc and sometimes I attach the fiber so they're kind of "free floating".

You know, you're right about the pages. I was happy when the idea was just in my head - so why not when it's fleshed out?? Part of my problem is that I look at 2Peas & watch DIY Scrapbooking and see these great LOs! They're adding something that I really like that sets their pages apart - I just can't seem to place what it is when I'm doing my own.

For example - I was planning to use ribbon on some of my pages - but I just couldn't figure out where! So when it was done & there was no ribbon I didn't care for the pages. I guess I need to pre-plan placing the ribbon, but ??? I guess I need to study some more LOs to get an idea about where to place it. That's all I need for DH to come home & see me looking at more LOs! He already thinks I'm nuts! "Just put the stuff on the page already!" is what I usually get from him.

Have you been reading my mind? My thoughts exactly. Everyones layouts look fantastic I have much to learn yet, including how to post my layouts online.
