I'd like to see the background/setting.

Also, does anyone remember what the ceiling is like? I'd like to use bounce flash if possible. If not, any suggestions on how to get my SB-200 to "bounce" another way?

TIA

:confused3 :confused3 SB-200?

Don't know of a flash with that number. Nikon has the SB-400, SB-600, SB-800 and SB-900. Looking further into it, Nikon does have an SB-R200 which is a wireless remote flash which is used as part of the macro flash unit that attaches to the lens for extreme close-up lighting.

I don't believe the SB-400 will bounce any other way except up. The other 3 can bounce forward, backward and can be swiveled sideways as well.

Ive got a picture of the one in DL, its the mickey set up but I cant remember if its identical. I can post that if you think it might help, let me know and ill find it.

this was taken Feb '06, so unless they've changed it since then, this should help

I think Disney is counting on people to shoot this tight and not use enough flash to light the ceiling..LOL

Here's one with a bigger view of the backdrop...with my 4 year-old twin boys...

Oh - and this is shot in the Animation Bldg (with a very high ceiling - like two stories high in this area, I believe)...just FYI...

Yes, it's the Nikon SB-400...don't know what I was thinking.

The meet & greet is in the animation building now so I quess I'll be dealing with a red rug and mostly green backdrop. Hmmm...what do I dress the kids in to coordinate with that?

Thanks everyone. Smatterchu, those are some cute tumble monkeys you have.

Thanks!! Never a dull moment, for sure -- besides, they're my 'muse' for work...I photograph everybody else's child like I would my own. :smickey:

As for the colors to coordinate - definitely NOT red. I've seen it done, and it's pretty intense...and usually so clashy. Mickey's Sorcerer's Robe is a very specific shade of red that is usually not found in fashion...

We were actually dressed to coordinate with Prince Caspian that day, lol...well, the boys were... (no kidding)

Navy might be a nice choice??

Both boys, and they'll be 4 in April. So I know exactly what you mean about never a dull moment!!! I also have an older DS 7 that will be in the photo.

Navy and red usually photograph really well on grass but that green is definately NOT grass color. :lmao: I do think I'll try for either blue or a muted yellow. I guess my final choice will be whichever I can find on sale before March.;)

How fun!! My boys will be 5 in April!! They're going to LOVE it - be sure and do the Lights! Motors! Action! car stunt show - it's really cool...especially for guys that age!

Have a great time -- let me know when you are coming to Studios - maybe I'll be working with Mickey that day!!

So you work at DHS? Maybe you can answer a question for me...I'm thinking of coming to DHS for EMH on the evening of March 16th so that we can stay for the Playhouse Disney Dance Party. Do you know if this is something that happens during every EMH evening or is it only around the holidays and very busy times? I can't seem to confirm this with anyone.

We'll also be at DHS on the 14th of March but it's not an evening EMH and I know my guys will really love to dance with the characters.

We're planning on doing LMA as well, it does look really cool.

I sure do work at Studios! I have the best time playing and working there!

I plan to be there March 14 - the Saturday. I will be off on Monday, the 16th -- but I'd love to say hi on Saturday!!

And yes - the EMH Playhouse Disney Dance Party is every EMH night -- so far. And be sure and get a cool balloon-arrangement-hat when you are there. When I work EMH nights, I love to see the 3 and 4-foot-tall balloon-hats that come out of there, lol... - So unless they have changed it, you should have a Dance Party if there is EMH. I'll keep my ears out and let you know if I find out differently...

Great! Now I can go ahead with my planning. I'll keep my eye out for you on the 14th. We'll be there in the morning for the 'mad dash' to TSM!:scared:
