I would love to see pictures of the men in your bridal party who are wearing suits rented at Carolyn Allen's. It is difficult to see all the styles on the website and I think it would give me a better idea of styles/colours etc if I can see some pictures. If you can remember what the style was called and how much it was to hire, so much the better, but don't worry if you can't. It's a good excuse to look at pictures of all your handsome men too!!!;)

Here is a photo of my DH and my dad and me. The tuxes were regular two button tuxes. My DH wore the white on white Mickey vest, my dad and DH's dad wore silver vests and the guys wore red to match my girls.

I do not have any close up on Photobucket. If I find any I will add them.

Here is my DH who got his tux from Carolyn Allens it is a two button Calvin Klein we both really liked it! and we loved Keith and Sue such good people!

Here you go. They had the Turino suit in black, white shirt, waistcoat in capri red with matching ties and handkerchiefs and two-tone shoes. The wigs and glasses did not come from Carolyn Allens!

They look gorgeous!!! Even with the wigs and glasses:thumbsup2
Can you remember how much they were to hire?
Being from the UK how did you manage measurements etc? Dis you send out measurements ahead of time or did you sort it all when you got to Florida?
Thanks so much for any help you can give

This is such a good idea for a thread, DF wont be able to try on his suit until we get there for the wedding, so seeing what each suit looks like on real people does help!

How did you manage the measurements etc?
I live in the UK and fear I will have to e-mail measurements and just get the boys fitted a couple of days before the ceremony  Do you think this would work?
I would also love to know the name of the suits and , if you can remember, the hire price

Our guys lived all over, so they went to get measured at a local tux shop and then called/faxed/emailed thier measurements to Carolyn Allens ahead of time.

Jacket Style - 922 Calvin Klein Aston
Pant Style - 922
Shirt Style - 76i (ivory)
Vest - COGR - Solid Cooper Grape (My Dad & step dad not in this picture had the striped version. the groom had the black vest with white mickey heads)
Tie - WSGR - grape

I agree that they were wonderful to work with. My DH and his dad got measured at their store. My DH's dad lives in Orlando - right around the block from their location so that was great. We were given a form by them and all the others went to professional tux rental place and got measured and filled out the form. I faxed them down to CA. As we arrived in Florida a few days early my DH, his dad and one of the guys went to their location to pick up the tuxes. The others were delivered to one of the guys resort rooms on a specific day and time. One of the tuxes did not fit right and they brought another one over that day. After the wedding all the guys just left their tuxes at Guest Services at the resort POFQ and CA picked them up.

I also had my dress steamed by CA. We were staying at The Boardwalk and they came to my room the day before the wedding and steamed my dress, veil and one of my BM dresses. they hung my dress on the curtin rod and had asked me to get two large white sheets from housekeeping. After the dress was steamed they covered it with the sheets so my DF could not see the dress that night.

Thank you both so much!!
I guess we may have to have them measured here and e-mail the measurements to CA.
Your guys look fabulous!!!
Any idea of costs, girls?
Thanks so much

I called CA and they were super nice about the whole process. Their is a form you need to fill out for your dress steaming, as they would need to know the fabric etc. I also asked about the guys tuxedos as my DF is a big guy, (58 chest) and they were not concern as they said they will make the necessary alterations and for me not to worry. So, next weekend we are going to a Jim's Formalwear to get fitted for the tuxedos and we will send them down to CA. Our wedding isn't until December, however, we will take one more fitting when we arrive in Orlando, because we will be there a week prior to our wedding for any last minute things that need to get done. :woohoo:

I don't care for most of the tuxedos listed. They all seem to be notch lapel. The peak lapel is a more classic, and more attractive look, in my opinion. My groomsmen will wear peak lapels. I will probably wear a shawl collar, to separate myself.

For a quick guide on black tie wear check out this site: Black Tie Guide

I wish I could find better pics of the Shawl collar. This one is of a wax model...kind of creepy. A nice shot of the jacket though:
