Hi!
I have to tell you the strangest things keep you up at night. My mom and I went to the WP to look around. We wanted to add the canopy (I'm Jewish and we are adding in Jewish traditions) but I just looked over Sungela's TR and the canopy blocks the huge window-which I think is the WP's best feature. UTOH. Now what?

Please show me your aisle/alter floral!!! I'm a little sad about the canopy...and I'm not sure how I'm going to tell mom I'm not thrilled about the idea...but pictures of other options might help.
Thanks!

Here is our decor, I don't have my professional photos back but you can get the idea.

Skylarr29:
I don't have a DD getting married anytime soon (or maybe at all :rotfl2: ) but I love looking at wedding stuff. Your aisle decorations were lovely. How did you do the columns? Is this cloth with some kind of ruffles on it around the square columns marking the family pews or what? The flowers were simply gorgeous too.

My daughter had a Jewish wedding also and she used the canopy that disney floral provided. It did not block the window at all. As guests were seated you could still see the castle in the background. It depends on what time of day your wedding is. Hers was an evening wedding so by the time the ceremony was over it was dark already, it was on a Saturday evening when the ceremony has to be after dark anyway. If you are having it on a Sunday or during the day you should still be able to see the castle in the background.

Thank you. It is the same material that was used for the aisle runner, it is fabric with silk rose petals sewn on it to make it look like petals without have to scatter them.

Beautiful! I showed it to my husband and asked him about renewing our vows there. He said sure, why not! 28 years in November! He doesn't have a clue how much it would cost :rotfl2: We could put one of the granddaughters through college for a year! But worth checking into.
Thanks for the info. Again, it was beautiful. Best wishes to you and you hubby. May you have a long and happy marriage.

Thanks for this. Do you have any pics you can share?

Actually their pictures are still online from Disney photo. Just go to www.disneyweddings.go.com/krantzandwilson. The user name is Krantz / Wilson wedding (make sure you space like I did) and the password is 1971. You will be able to see the pictures of the chupah. There are alot of pictures so you will need to scan down quite a bit before you get to the ceremony. Let me know what you think.

Thanks. I'll have to show my mom these and see what she thinks.

We only had petals along the sides of the aisle. I actually regret not having an aisle runner. I never considered it, because the carpet in the WP didn't bother me (had a turn-of-the-century semi-victorian theme). But I realize now it would have been more dramatic. Also, I cut the pew sprays, and I wish I had left them in.

I did love my altar floral, though. It doubled as the sweetheart table decoration and was beautiful!

Skylarr: not sure if this is a really weird question, but do you have any idea of how wide your aisle runner is?

Thanks for everyone's posts!
I spoke with my mom and she had the same thought that the canopy would block the window. So, we're going to nix it. Keep posting. I have some ideas...Now, it just needs to come together!
Thanks!

I'm not sure, but I can try to email my florist and see if they answer. It is two layers, a regular aisle runner, and then the petal runner on top.

We had the chupah as well

It didn't block the castle, which you could see from up front, the guests, less so because we were standing there ;)

I loved this thread...here are some that I've saved from our wedding:

I think my mom and I are in love with the window more than seeing Cinderella's castle. Ok so we are weird like that!

I love seeing what everyone did.
Thank you!
