Show me the water!!! Trip report Jan 31-Feb 11,2013*Pictures added*

Well....the holiday glow has worn off. 30 days and I am already planning for next January before our AP's expire. Time for a new ticker:cool1:

Great trip report, I never did get around to writing one up from our November & February trip.

When we left Disneyland on our last night, my daughter told me that she wasn't sad because as AP holders, she knows that we will be coming back before the expiry date. How right she was! :thumbsup2 So, we are heading back down in October to use our APs one more time and we will be bringing my parents who haven't been there since 2002. It will be fun showing them all the new stuff!

I did tell my daughter that this October trip is the last visit for awhile, sometimes it is hard to justify 3 visits in less than a year when we are from Calgary! :scratchin

:cool1: I am going to see Fantasmic!!!! While we are going again in January....DH is giving me the green light to plan a weekend trip to DL for my 50th birthday on September 27. I can't wait!!!!:hyper:

I really enjoyed your trip report. Never occurred to me to upgrade "free" park hoppers to AP's. What a great idea! We went in Nov 2012 and bought one AP to get the discounts and had 7 day park hoppers for the rest of us. We were able to go again in Aug of 2013 but only for 5 days total and stayed at GCV as we are DVC members.
How much did it cost to rent the cabana for the day? That too is a grand idea...have found that people guard their empty chairs at the pool like hawks...tried to put our stuff on an empty chair there - one only for all five of us - and the woman sitting 3 chairs away jumped all over us claiming it was theirs!! My husband told her she should put something on it to claim then. The entire two hours we were there no one sat in it or the chairs surrounding that she had also claimed.
We won't be able to go in 2014 but am hoping to convince DH to go in 2015. Wish we lived closer as we too are in snowy Alberta.

Yes, it was a real money saver. It ended up being cheaper than hoppers for 2 trips.
The cost for the cabana was $180 for the whole day. It was totally worth it. We didn't get anything from the bar and I just brought lunch back down from our room.
I couldn't rent points for our trip this week but as long as I am in Anaheim...I am happy:cool1:

Unfortunately....no. We stayed at the Park Vue for my 50th bday trip in September and it worked well for us. So we have rented a 2 room suite there for 11 nights. It is half of the cost of staying on property, and we spend so little time in the room that as long as it is clean and comfy....I am happy :thumbsup2
