This is a continuation of the original thread, which I started in June of 2006... Wow, who knew that it would still be active??... thanks for posting all the great photos!

So to restate some of the ideas...

THINGS THE AVERAGE TOURIST MAY NOT PHOTOGRAPH

I imagine that many people who take pictures at Disney theme parks have some common shots: views of an entire building (e.g. the castle, Spaceship Earth, Sorcerer Mickey hat, etc), or characters (e.g. as much of Mickey Mouse as possible). Well, show me what you've done that is more unusual... something that most people may not think of taking.

some thoughts...

- common things from uncommon angles
- common things, but captured in macro mode
- queue art, zoomed in closely
- sides of buildings
- trash cans
- water fountains
- lanterns
- trash (with a good camera and a good eye, I've seen it look like art!)
- fence posts
- doors/gates
- ironwork
- columns
- wheels/tires/spokes
- things thru a fish eye lens
- the back side of water (oh wait, everyone takes that one)

Looking forward to seeing some of your creativity... popcorn::

PLEASE TRY TO KEEP TO THE "UNUSUAL" THEME!

Thanks!

I'll kick off the new thread:

Great shots :thumbsup2

What was your setting on the bottom one?

Thanks!

I took the bottom one several different times (still learning) but the one that I liked best was:

f/4.7
1/250sec
ISO-400
exposure bias +2.3 step
and a healthy dose of Photoshop help.

I'm sure it could have been shot differently and more successfully but it's my first SLR and at the time I had only had it for a few months.

Great pics everyone. We are heading down in November and I am making a list of shots I want to get. We are new to the DSLR world but have jumped in and are enjoying the ride. Thanks for the ideas :thumbsup2
