I am getting ready to hopefully soon book my package for August. Should I add the water parks to it or just pick a daya nd go there. I can add it for 170.00 for the week but unsure if it will be worth it since we are staying at WL? Unless some one suggests another resort that would be good for 2 little boys age (6&7), that are going to probably enjoy MK more than anything else.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Stacy

We were at WL in 2001 when my DS's were 10 and 7 -- and the WL pool and slide were great for them. We went to the Water Parks for the first time this year (4 years later) and had a blast -- and while there's lots for younger kids to do at both water parks, I think you're probably right -- save the $170.00, use it on something else the kids will have fun doing, and enjoy the WL pool and the parks -- there's so much to do in the World, you won't run out of fun!

At 6 &7 the water parks are iffy. There is a kids area but then you miss out on the big rides. I think I'd wait until they are a little older so you dont have to keep such close track of them. The slide and pool at WL will be enough. Also I will problaby get flamed for this but there is a small pool for VWL that has a huge hot tub I stayed at VWL last year and many of the occupants were from the lodge. The pool had more DVC people so they seemed much more friendly, and relaxed, but there is NO slide. There were less older kids to spoil the fun for the smaller kids. My DS still remembers that pool more than the one with the slide at WL. He made a friend out first day and they got together each night to swim and have fun.

If you are doubting about going to TL or BB even once, don't get the waterpark option on your tickets. If you do go once, it won't be worth the money as a single visit is less than adding the option to each ticket... If you decide to go twice, however... you'd be money ahead to have pre-purchased the waterparks and more (or whatever they're calling it this week).

For the $170 you could take a winter night break at a hotel with the indoor waterparks for a getaway inbetween disney trips. I would not pay it for the WDW waterparks.
