Can you guys please help with a big decision? Three of us are staying at Coronado Springs at WDW in late Nov/early Dec. and would like to visit USF for a day and IOA for another day. I am considering moving to RPR for our last 2 days for the FOL access to HP. In your guys wisdom, do you think this is necessary? It will cost a bit more but it might avoid horrendous waits. TIA:hug:

Hopefully by that time the crowds will have calmed down a little. But if you stay onsite you will really enjoy yourselves with the unlimited Express access. Your wait times will be minimal during that time as it's historically slow. We'll have to wait and see what the future holds for the crowds Harry Potter will bring in though.

you could hop for your last night, you get 2 days worth of FOTL/Express pass for 1 night stay...from park opening on check in day until park closing of the day you check out...may help cut cost a little, and really less repacking if you can go the overnight bag route. Guest servisces will hold your stuff once you check out. Thr pool at RPR is really nice tho, so you may like ot have 2 nights.

I was told per Universal no express pass for Harry Potter. I don't know if this will still hold true for your trip. I was also told that the new ride in the studios that opened in the Fall still does not have express pass either.

I was talking to staff RPR last night ,and they said 1 FOLP per day for WWHP for onsite guests

We love Coronado Springs, but the Universal resorts are amazing. We are doing a split stay in July with CSR and Portofino. Even though you are not going at a traditionally busy time, I'd spend at least one night at Universal to get two days FOTL access so you can enjoy it at both parks. After touring plans and line waits at Disney, it would be a very relaxing end to your trip to enjoy FOTL access, walking to the parks from RPR, and enjoying the great restaurants at RPR and City Walk.

It might not be a "must do", but it is worth the additional cost. :thumbsup2

Do it!

It is a lifetime opportunity that you might regret later.

This is what the Universal reservations agent told me today when I modified my rate to the AP rate. She did caution that she didn't know WHEN the express for FJ would be operational, but once it was, it would be once per day for onsite guests. We are going in July, and she said she didn't know if Express would be up for FJ or not by then.

We are going in sept. and I'm sure it will be a slower time, but we still booked RPR for fotl. I figured why risk it,and RPR is beautiful hotel. We doing Disney earlier in the week, then Universal. You can usally get an AAA rate for a 1 night stay at RPR, and 1 night will get you 2 days fotl.
