Should we move to 1 Bdrm. last 2 nights or will we survive a studio?

I've rented a studio at SSR for 7 nights for myself, my DD and her friend, both 16. It sounds like a great resort to try with these two fun girls

I'm concerned that after 4 or 5 nights together this might get a little close...(think - two year 16 olds and me alone ) I could spend a few points and waitlist a 1 bedroom for the last two nights.

One of the problems is we're staying Tuesday to Tuesday because of flights. I really don't want to use weekend points for a 1 bedroom so 2 nights is the max. Do you think it would be worth it to move or should we just stay put at SSR? (I also don't want to go from a 1 bedroom down to a studio so can't do it on the front end of the trip).

Any thoughts on how you survived in a studio would be appreciated!

If you have the points available, I would move up. It will make the end of a magical vacation even better!

However, in many cases, my family's included, once you stay in a 1 or 2 BR villa, it is very hard to go back to a studio, and I am serious about this.

Since you are gonna move, you might want to see if another resort has a 1 bedroom for your dates. Disney will move your luggage for you, and even if you stay at SSR you will have to check-out at 11 AM, and your new 1BR may not be available until 4PM, so you might want to check out another resort.

I would just stay put.

You won't be gaining an extra bathroom which would perhaps make the move "worth it" to me.

But you will get a jacuzzi tub and a washer & dryer. Those amenities might just make it worth it!

Think about it - -you can close yourself off in the jacuzzi tub room and the girls will still have access to the toilet and a sink plus the kitchen for snacks and the TV/DVD player for entertainment while you're relaxing. You'll hve your own TV and king bed to chill out if they're starting to get on your nerves, LOL.

If you can afford the points, go for it!

I did it - they had the last 2 nights available in a 1 bedroom at the Beach Club and I went for it. I think the girls will love it and so will I. We've never stayed there before so we're excited!

Oh, we have stayed in a 2 bedroom before and loved it! However, this is a very last minute budget trip. We sold some points to pay for airfare, etc. My other DD is going to France with a school trip so that took a bite out of the budget... not to mention college looming. I know I'm going to love moving to that 1 bedroom after 5 nights in the studio - I'm telling the girls we're moving the Beach Club but won't tell them about the 1 bdrm. until we walk in the room.

I think you'll be glad you did it. The girls will be impressed. Having a washer and dryer even for 2 nights will be nice. We really enjoy going home with clean clothes in the suitcase.
