My Mom and I both Obese are wondering if we should do a day of shopping at WDW or go to Islands ( and yes I know we a 2 park tix) Also it will mean cancelling California Grill . But we have V&A and Jiko.

Check out
Www.citywalk.com for the stores and eateries and entertainment that is at city walk

If you like the choices then it could be a wonderful time there

So you are trying to decide between spending the money and going shopping and spending the money to go to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure?

That's a tough decision. Personally, I'd go to Universal/Islands of Adventure. I can shop at home.

You can always work in shopping @ WDW. DTD is open late after the parks close.

Do you use ECVs @ WDW? If so, bring the on over. If not, both U parks combined are less the size of the MK, easy to traverse.

Curious why Islands over studios though, which has many 'dark' attractions where you can sit and enjoy the show along with what I feel is 'better' HP attraction.

if you do have a U park-to-park 1 day ticket, you can enjoy both sides. If foodies, make sure to grab lunch at Mythos, it's top notch. having won several awards over the years for best amusement park restuarant.

Depending on the time of year/park hours, you can do rope drope @ U and be back in time for a CA Grill ADR. Custom there to be seated and interrupt ur meal to go out and watch the fireworks if that is your intent, then come back and enjoy the meal.

Adam, I see you wrote you and your mother are obese.

For the rides overweight people struggle with, there are test seats outside..........so knowing if you would fit or not is something we cant answer for you.

It will be expensive going for one day to Universal. IOA and The Studios are lovely parks, very colourful and lots of fun.

Regardless of expense I would rather be in The parks than shopping. You can shop anytime.
