I have to make our FP's this coming Sunday and I'm trying to figure out which ones.
We are arriving at rope drop with an opening at 9:00.
We plan to go straight to Big Thunder and then Splash Mountain.
Do you think we should get a FP for Splash ?
I figure we will be at Splash around 9:20 or 9:30.
We have already decided to get Seven Dwarfs and Peter Pan for the other 2 FP's.
We wanted to get 3 FP's done before 12:00 when we have a dining reservation.
We will be going back to the resort after we eat lunch and plan to get a 4th FP and return in the evening.
I was thinking of booking our FP+ like this.
9:00-10:00 Splash
10:00-11:00 Peter Pan
11:00:12:00 Seven Dwarfs
Not sure I will need one for Splash that early though?

Seven Dwarfs will be the hard one to get at the time you want. Go for it and work around that time.

I plan on getting Seven Dwarfs this Sunday as soon as my FP window opens up for me to grab, I think that is at midnight.

I live central time zone so a few weeks ago when I picked at my 60 day midnight window it was actually 11pm local time. Take that into consideration.

Ok thanks. We have the same time zone so I shouldn't have a problem with that.

For reference, on July 4, Splash wait was about 15 minutes at 9:30 so you probably don't need it. And if you get to park and enter at 8:45 when it will probably really open, you will be at splash even earlier. Now if you aren't sure you will make rope drop, you may want the FP just incase. If you get to the ride and don't need it, you can immediately change to something else
on your phone. What else do you want to do when you get back from your hotel break? If I wanted another popular FP for that time, I would probably just go ahead and get the 3rd FP for that ride.

I was at MK last week (Tuesday 4/12) and had a FP for Splash in the first hour of the day. I went straight to Pirates at RD (walk on) then went back to Splash and BTMRR. Splash wouldn't even let people in the FP line because standby was 5 minutes (walk on). I ended up switching my Splash FP to a Jungle Cruise slot later in the day.

Basically, not only is a Splash FP probably not needed that early in the day, you may not even be allowed to use it.

Ok thanks, we will be there right before the 4th so I expect it to not be quite as busy as the 4th so we should be alright without FP

That would be great if it is like that when we go. I think we will decide on another ride then.

What happens if you don't use a fastpass? Can you get another once the fastpass window time passes?

Yes if the rules are still the same. I know they are changing things. But it use to be once all your 3 FP are used or past the time you can book another one.
