We have a timeshare reservation Sunday 2/6-2/13 and was hoping to visit the WDW parks and go to Universal for one day so my son can see the Harry Potter stuff. I'm thinking of extending our trip by 2 days (fly in Friday evening so no more school is missed) and then staying at a Universal hotel for 2 nights. Would it be worth it?

I'm thinking not only would that give us better access for a quick visit to Universal but also maybe another day of rest in between all of the park visits in total.

Would it be worth it?

I think its worth it especially if your going to stay onsite cause it will defiently spoil you staying onsite :thumbsup2

I think that you absolutely should devote 2 days to the park to really appreciate everything.

go for it! Well worth the extra time!

I think so! We keep adding more and more days to our vacation, I think that will make the trip more relaxing. And it's not much $ to add days on the tickets.

Sunday is the best day at Universal so I think a Saturday arrival might be ideal. Even if you don't arrive early enough to enjoy the park on Saturday, a full Sunday might be all you need. I was thinking of doing this too, but the hotels at Universal are very expensive, and small compared to a timeshare suite.

yes:)and yes again!

i'd def add the days on the begining of the trip (arriving Fri vs Sun) as the weekend of 2/12 runs into both President's day & Daytona 500 crowds.

It was slow at Universal the days we visited the weekend before president's day weekend a few years ago. We stayed 4 nights beginning on Sunday then moved to WDW Thursday thru the next Sunday.

fyi, WDW was very busy beginning the Friday prior to the actual weekend with Sunday & Presidents' day itself over-the-top crowded as the day progressed.

with some planning, it's a great time of year to visit, enjoy!
