I'm going with my family to wdw in June, and we have been a bunch of times. I was wondering if we should go on one of those behind the scenes tours of wdw? Are they fun? would kids ages 12 and 11 like them? How much do they cost?

The backstage and design tours were great at AK but I think again restricted to 16yrs old and up

Something about a parent suing Disney when their child saw Mickey Mouse taking his head gear off backstange and their kid being mortified

thanks

Oh yeah...I was gonna recommend the Keys to the Kingdom Tour also...but I forgot they have a restriction on 16yrs and younger kids.

It would have been TOO hot to walk around for 4 to 5 hours listening to the tour guide anyway, we did it in Dec. and it was a GREAT tour, we LOVED it, but kudos to ppls who do it in the summer! I would have :faint: after the first hour.

Perhaps you can try one of the tours at AK? (I think if you stay at AKL there's a Sunrise Sufari Tour?):scratchin

Sorry...didn't mean to cause confusion :guilty:

Welcome to the MK--an intro tour...geared for first timers

Epcot's Aqua Seas tour is open to 8 and over--this is the one for those who are NOT scuba divers

MK's Magic Behind the Steam Trains is for 10 and over

Behind the Seeds at Epcot in the Land--all ages--this one is kinda short, but really inexpensive, and gives you a tour of the greenhouses you see in the boat ride in the Land

We've done Behind the Seeds, Keys to the Kingdom, and Yuletide Fantasy and loved them all. We're hoping to do another one in May or October, but it depends if we have someone else with us to watch the kids. We'd really like to do the Hidden Treasures of Epcot tours...

Most of the tours are for 14-16 and over. I do believe the steamengine tour is 10 and up. Also a scuba one is for 8, w/ adult. There is a family MK tour that the entire family can go to. We are planning to do Wild by Design this spring. We've done Keys and loved it and recommend it to friends.
