Heading to BWV in August. DW is suggesting we should look at tranferrring our reservation to another resort that isn't under renovation.

Is this an over-reaction? Is the rehab really that invasive? Which parts of the resort have 2 bdrm units that have already been "rehabbed?"

Many thanks, as always....

The rehab work is on the outside (painting), the inside part of the rooms and hallways are already done. Where they are doing the rehab working on the outside, the rooms are closed. When we were there in December, they were working on the quiet pool area, we were facing the front driveway on the other side of the hall and it didn't effect us at all, we didn't hear a thing. When we were there in May, they were working on the main pool area rooms (but the pool was unaffected). I wouldn't change it. If you are using points, it may be difficult to find something elsewhere at this late date.

When we were there in Feb the only way we knew there was a rehab was the scaffolding. It didn't take away form our trip in Feb or for that fact in October.

Go and enjoy!

We have been there three times during the rehab and it really didn't affect our enjoyment of the resort one bit. We had a great time there each time. Even strolling the Boardwalk at night when they had the scaffolding up along that section, made no difference.

hi: our november trip was our second during a "rehab" time. even though they were changing the carpeting in the halls outside our room, there was never a problem. they even had a cm stationed in the halls to make sure there was never a problem with any of the members or the installers. they didn't even give her a chair; she had to stand the entire day. i offered her a soda or water from our unit, but she wasn't allowed to accept. the outside renovations have never affected our stay either.

I have made 3 trips to BWV since the renovations with the most recent in May. The renovations did not effect our stay at all. The only problem is some of the rooms are closed that have the scaffolding outside them so the number of available rooms is somewhat reduced.

Our last trip in Feb was during the rehab and it was just fine. Like a previous response stated it is the outside that is being done and rooms with the outside scaffolding are not being used. We had a two bedroom villa, an upper floor right over the DVC offices. It was a great view! The family that came with us was quite impressed with the BWV and this was their first trip. Keep your ressies.

Kathy;)

....what will be underway in Mid-August? Does anyone know. Also, is there anywhere to get a BWV map with room numbers?
