Party Horns - or those plastic fake eyeglasses with the Groucho Marx fuzzy black eyebrows (like for Hallowe'en) would be funny without being fussy.

Newspaper might cause a problem on the attraction (if it blew out of someone's hands).

What about reading a park map? It might be easier to manage than a newspaper.
