or get a cheap hotel ( 4 stars) on hotwire for about $119...and pay about $26 for an express pass....


are the lines really long on March 13th and march 20th 2010?
are the express passes really effective/worth it?

There is a difference between the pass when you stay on site and the pass that you buy. The onsite pass is your room key and it gives you unlimited express lane rides. The one you buy is good for only one express lane ride per ride.

I would not think that it would be that crowded in March but someone else would need to answer the question as to whether or not you even need an express pass during those dates.

Just keep in mind that next week is a very popular Spring Break week. Airfare for next week has been outrageous since I started looking over 6 months ago. Luckily I found one brief sale. Shhhh! Don't tell the kids though. They think we are going to Wisconsin Dells.

If you decide to stay off-property, you can wait until you're in the park to buy EPs. That way, you can see what the crowds are like to determine if you'll need EPs.

If you are going to the parks for 2 days in a row, you might consider staying on site for one night. That way you can get express lines all day, both days for one night of hotel.
Spring Break can be crazy for park goers. But, not sure of the spring break dates. They have a site that lists high season time starting sometime in March through sometime in April for spring break for schools.
