I have been to WDW many times so I think that I have the timming down pretty good, would I benifit from tour guide mike? any advice? I saw another thread about this but now I can't find it! Thanks! 29 days to go!! :cool1:

I've signed up for Tour Guide Mike and have found it to be very useful and have learned little things that I hadn't thought of before. It is however rather time consuming to work your way around the site. This hasn't been a problem for me as I signed up a year before my trip so have enjoyed working my way through but I don't know if you would have enough time now to get the most benefit from the programme.

Have a great trip!

we have been to wdw many times (14 times for 2 - 3 weeks each trip!) I thought I knew a lot of disney stuff.. but TGM has changed the way we tour!

When he says go to the park.. GO! He knows his stuff. I had never worked out days to do stuff before.. we just went to the parks when we felt like it. If you already follow touring plans you might not get a full benefit of his service.. still.. he has a ton of great info on there!!

I used TGM once for a trip three years ago. Now I rely on the things I learned from that for new trips. I don't think I would pay to use it twice, but the one time I used it I thought it was useful.

With only 29 days to go, you most certainly won't have enough time to figure out his convoluted site, and you're going at a time of year which has low visitation traditionally, which makes a touring plan a little less of a necessity. I'd get the Unofficial Guide, and check out the free touring plans on touringplans.com.

I'd love to subscribe but we're leaving in 28 days...
By pure curiosity - what does he say about the first week of october? hehe

Thanks!

Thanks!

He says it comes after the last week of September and before the second week of October :rotfl:

I joined up when I had about 6 weeks before my trip, and I read plenty of info that was very helpful. I even changed around my itinerary and which days I was going to based off of of TGM's recommendations.

You can get a $2.00 off coupon, so it is $19, and well worth it, IMO, even if you are leaving in a month. The site is a little difficult to navigate, but if you spend some time reading, bookmarking, etc, you can find all the info you need.

I used TGM in April (taking my nephews) and in June (taking a group of 40).

I buy the UG regularly, and I found TGM WELL worth the cost. If you have a short timeline, stick to the Express Planner for your month. It concentrates all the info you need there.

When you join up, head over to the forums and post me a message. My userid over there is "Stephen". If you have difficulty with the site, I'll be happy to help you over there in the forums.

I think that I will forget about it! Thanks for the input! Hope the first week of Oct is not crowded. See you there the first week!! 10/6-10/10 WL
