Should I use Disboard rental thread or other site to rent out confirmed resv?

Family plans changed, and after borrowing for 3 different June reservations to accommodate everyone, we no longer will need one of them, maybe even two of them.

One contract has an August UY and the other a Sept UY. Reservations are in June. What is the best way, and best place, to go about renting these out? I would like to rent a confirmed reservation as opposed to canceling them and trying to rent the points. Or is that a better option?

Some research has shown a couple of rental sites, and of course the rental board here on the Dis. Which area would get the best response, the best interest from potential renters?

There are some quite strict rules on this board for existing reservations, such that without paying you can only rent within 30 days of the reservation, and even if you pay $124.95 you can only rent one outside of this period. This is unlikely to make this board a good option.

I have had good results using David's (https://dvcrequest.com/) as you can choose how much to accept and they will add a set amount on to this as their fee. That is my preferred method as it is less risky than doing it myself. The board sponsor also takes confirmed reservations but from what I've heard they will add as much on as they like to increase their cut without improving what the owner gets. If you want to get as much as possible for these reservations then Facebook groups are probably the way to go, but you assume all the risks yourself!

Thank you for not sharing what you would be renting as that would be against the rules.

Only our paid plans will allow you to list confirmed reservations and even those have limits. But there are other options out there, including DVC rental store.

I tried to look thru the rules, and knew that I couldn't give particulars in this area. But I overlooked the part that confirmed reservations can only be done within 30 days, and there is a fee involved for outside that.

Is it possible to use all the borrowed points for the remaining reservation(s)? If so, you could do that and then bank the current year's points. You have until the end of March for the August UY to bank.
