The Enclave has the ammenities that we want, but really concerned about all the negative reviews, but then has some good reviews. Anyone with experience with this hotel and is it really that bad. We do not stay in expensive hotels as we would rather spend our money on our activities and we will not be in our room most of the time, but some of these reviews make me wonder if this is a bad decision.

I'm going to move this to the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board since it doesn't have to do with Universal.

We have stayed here twice, the first time I really enjoyed our stay. We had 4 adults, my sister, my MIL, my DH, and myself :) We had just a normal 1 BR with a balcony and it was on a pretty decent floor and not that bad of a place.

The 2nd trip....will not go back again....we got a 2BR top floor with the extended balcony. The extended balcony was very nice. We had to move rooms because they put us ina bunk bed 2BR and since it was 3 Adutls and 2 kids I wanted one with 2 twins instead. Since we were on the top floor it took at least 20 minutes or more to get on the elevator going up or down. This was pretty bad since that area was extremly hot to wait in. The staff was not very friendly at all and I had to call down several times to request the pack and play and finally got it around 11pm at night.

The floors in the 1st room had carpet but when we moved it was all tile...and not skid proof tile! Since it was raining the whole place was an accident waiting to happen and DD was just learning to walk and fell several times before I just carried her. We only stayed there 1 night thank goodness!

Now my brother also stayed and he loved it, it is close to several resturants as well as fun activties.

We stayed here last year for a week and in all honesty was fine, it was pretty cheap and the room had everything we need and it was clean. We had a room right at the end of the hall and It over looked the lake.
We never had any problems and would stay here again.

thank you for your input. I really want a place with a kitchen and free transportation to US and seaworld and this place has the cheapest price. We will be doing alot this vacation so trying save some money with the room.

Have you checked out the Hawthorn Suites Universal? It also meets your requirements (suites with full kitchens, free transportation to US/Seaworld/Disney) plus it has a free hot and cold breakfast buffet, free nightly happy hour, and a nice outdoor courtyard with a pool, hot tub, and sports court. Very central location (one block from I-Drive, just off Sand Lake Road) and the staff were great.

Actually Hawthorne Suites on Canada Avenue is on the same street as Enclave hotel. I have stay at the Hawthorne Suites and awesome look and clean rooms. Love having a kitchen just put leftover take out in the fridge. The free hot breakfast saves me from buying breakfast out. It actually breakfast buffet. I think its very good.

Tip if going Sea World buy the all eat plan for 29.99 for adults it little bit cheaper for kids. My kids love it.

Me and my family (mum, dad and brother) are stopping at the Enclave Suites again this year. We're hoping to get the same room we had from our first visit back in '08. The room was nice with great air conditioning, a tv in each room, a lovely kitchen with a fridge, a microwave, an oven and a toaster oven (which I thought was cute) and it had a nice balcony view. We could see all of the Wet n Wild water park across the lake from where we were. The staff at reception were very nice and very helpful. The breakfast area is buffet style I think with a nice little game room and a shop which has everything like food and drinks even swimming gear.

There's free transport to the Universal resort. To get to Seaworld and Aquatica, the best option is the I-trolley which takes you straight there and its only a dollar. To get to the Disney parks, you have to book a minibus at the reception the night before which I don't think costs much.

There are also plenty of fun things to do on Internation Drive like Wonderworks, the Wet n Wild water park I mentioned and there are plenty of miniture golf courses too which are fun to do during the evening.

I hope all this information helps
