Should I self park at hotel to have breakfast?

Hi Everyone,

Have a question on what I should do about parking. When we went to disneyland last week we missed the minnie character breakfast we made priority seating for at 10am because it took us an hour to get from the parking garage to main street.

When we go back to DCA with our 2fer tickets I want to take the kids to a character breakfast at one of the hotels, I'm thinking goofy's because I now know it runs till 2pm in case we run late again or Lilo and stitch because it sounds like fun too.

Now Since both of these are at the hotels not the park, should I park at the hotel first eat then go park at the disneyland parking or can you take the monorail without having access to disneyland? Will they charge me twice to park? Whats the best way to get to these hotels with only having DCA access? Or should I just go to the storytellers cafe at the grand californian?

You can also park in the DTD parking lot. But yes, we've parked at the DLH just for Goofy's breakfast before.
