DisneyKidds said:Technically this is correct. However, even renters will have room keys that say 'Member' on them, and those will allow them to pool hop or take advantage of most other member benefits, even though they might not technically be entitled.
Not sure if all studios at OKW have balconies, but they do at all other DVC resorts (save for a stray room here or there that just can't accomodate a balcony for various reasons).
They are asking members to show their blue member card as well as their Room ID with DVC Member on it a lot of the time. So a non-member, while their room ID may say DVC Member, might not get the DVC perks. They shouldn't expect them.
The queen sized beds would be the deal breaker for me. Double beds are just too hard to share.

I've never stayed at OKW, although I have seen it. Lots of people with young children stay there. You can do your laundry for free. You'll have much more space at OKW and the "calypso" themeing is nice-very Flordia. I understand your concerns about OKW. We prefer the DVC resorts that are attached to Deluxe hotels (BWV, BCV, VWL). But you aren't comparing OKW to BWV, you are comparing it to a moderate. I'd take OKW over a moderate any day!
