should I pay OOP for kids at the Derby?

I have booked the Derby's Fantasmic Pkg for my upcoming trip. I finally looked at the menu and am not really impressed with the kids selections. Plus, it\s only $10-$12 per kids to get the pkg.

The F! vouchers are important - so I'm wondering if the best choice is to pay $25 or so OOP for my 2 kids and have an extra 4TS credits for another meal for us.

BUT...if we do this, we would only be left with 4TS child credits - I don't suppose we would be allowed to eat somewhere with the 4 child credits would we? I was thinking of going to sci fi and wouldn't mind ordering off the kids menu.

I don't have a prob paying 2TS credits at the Derby as I'm actually getting rather excited about eating there. But 2 TS credits for my kid to eat grilled cheese is NOT appealing.

You can pay OOP for the kids, but only the kids could use those TS credits elsewhere.

Last year we did the deluxe plan. Cali Grill got backed up the night we were there and it was after fireworks before we were seated. DS ended up falling asleep so he did not order. Later we were able to use those credits for QS, I'm not sure if they would have worked for TS. On the deluxe plan all the credits are just lumped into one number.
