We are leaving this Saturday Jan 29 - through Feb 4. We are going with 6 adults and 2 children. I am used to goin to Disney and just making PS at the last minute and it has never been a prob. What I am worried about this time is that With this many people eating all there meals together that I won't get the PS that I want. But on the other hand I feel very confined by making lunch and dinner PS for every day. I just do not know what to do. i guess with less than a week the stress is starting to get to me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We will be there the exact same time, four of us, and they only PSs I made were for the first night we arrive (Sat the 29th) for Whispering Canyon and for Sun the 30th for PSB in Epcot. I didn't make the PSB until a couple weeks ago and still got in and they had alot of times available so I wouldn't worry about it. If the PSB wasn't booked up, the CRT was though, I'm sure everything is still open. I know I had my choice for Whispering Canyon too, lots of empty time slots. We usually go the third week of January and have no problems getting into any place to eat, even Character meals. Last year at lunch we went to Crystal Palace around 12:00 and got seated right away, no wait and no PS. Pray for good weather next week, please! Things are looking a bit damp!

We just returned yesterday and though the parks were not crowded, we did encounter many guest being turned away at restraurants. We are only a table for 2, but at the Plaza Restraurant, we watched as people were told that if they did not have a PS, they would not get in. This was on a Tuesday night at 4:30 PM. Then again at the 50s PT on Saturday night, we had a 6:30 PS and while waiting to check in, we heard time after time, folks in front of us being told that no PS, no table. I thought being a slower time this would not be heard as often as it is in the spring, summer, and fall. But we watched it first hand. And at Trails End, we watched them hand out beepers for lunch because so many wanted to eat lunch there on Saturday. More and more folks are making PSs now, and while I would not make them for all meals, I certainly think at least one a day would be in order, especially with a larger party like yours. We had no problem walking into 9 dragons for lunch at 12:00 PM at EPCOT on a Thursday. We also did not have a problem getting into Whispering Canyons for breakfast during our 1 week stay at WL, but of course, we were there between 7:30 and 8:00AM. We did notice them being packed every night for dinner with huge lines of people waiting to get in.

If you have any "must do" type restaurants on your list, I would recommend a PS for a party of that size. The parks seem busier than they have been for the last couple of years.

I would also try making any other PSs a day or so prior to my desired dining date, and remain a little flexible with your seating times. Also, have a back-up choice of restaurant, just in case.

We rarely ever make PS in advance. We usually call the night before or the morning of and make reservations, even in busy season. Yes, you do have to be a bit flexible in times but we usually get our 1st or 2nd choice.

If you wait until it's time to eat you might get turned away, but calling in the morning we've never had problems.
