Should I link Canadian resident tickets if I don't have next trip booked/planned?

Just wondering what the pros or cons would be linking Canadian exchange certificates to my Disney Experience and assigning them to family members? I got the tickets through Airmiles if that makes a difference. Probably won't be visiting WDW until 2019. Currently they are stored in my safe. Any reason I should or should not link?

IMO, there are no pros or cons. Since you have to physically redeem the vouchers it really doesn't matter what you do in the mean time. Linking them now doesn't help you in the event that the vouchers went missing.

I have vouchers from Air Miles and I won't be linking them until I have a trip planned and need to book FP+.

I know once you link them you are stuck with them, you can't unlink them and say give them to someone else or sell them if you can't use them. I found that out the hard way last year when we bought tickets from Undercover Tourist before the Canadian promotion came out. They would have taken them back had I not already linked them to my account. :(

This is my debate. I am going to WDW in August and have several Cdn exchange vouchers (that I dont intend to use yet). I haven't linked any but am considering taking them down to exchange them for real tickets. Just because it feels risky to just hang on to exchange vouchers. But not sure if that is really my best move. My thought is that if something happens or whatever, I want the flexibility of being able to resell the tickets.

Apparently, after they are linked, you can only transfer them to someone connected as a Family and Friend on your MDE. This means that if you sell your ticket, you have to get the buyer to connect as your friend and then transfer the ticket to them. A lot more hassle than handing over a ticket. That said, not sure if a buyer would be comfortable getting an exchange voucher either.

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.
