Should I go to Doorways to Dreams opening?

Received an invite and I will not be adding on. Should we still go? We could see AKL models but that can wait.

I have to admit all of these reports of people needing reservations has me thinking this is going to ahve a pretty strong sales focus. And I believe the time slots are 2 hours apart, which implies that whatever they have planned will last nearly that long. I'm sure Disney won't hold people hostage, but this seems to be more than a "come in and look around" type thing.

You could always register and pull a no-show if reports here sound less-than-impressive.

It sounds like fun. I am going with my DH at 3pm on 08/01. We will only add on if the deal is amazing!

We have an appt at 6pm on 8/01. We aren't sure if we want to buy a small AKV or add on at BCV but thought we'd see what deals they have. It sounds like it will be fun either way!

Not sure if you have kids--or if you yourself care about characters--but at least Mickey will be there, and I think the Fab 5 will be in attendance, so that could be fun (though I am sure it will be a mod scene on the day the characters are there). I think there will be general give-aways as well...DVC hats, magnets, etc. Just a guess, but from all of the promotional information, it sounds like there will be little gifts.

If I was close, I would definitely go.
