Should I give up on NYE period and rent my Thanksgiving points?

We have ressies for Thanksgiving at SSR, but may need to cancel. Would you assume that we have no chance of getting anything in the after Xmas/before school starts period - (12/26-1/5)? If so, would it be easy to rent out the Thanksgiving ressie or shoud I just bank the points?

Since your talking SSR you might be able to get a room at that time. I had booked us into SSR in a 1-bedroom from 12/20-12/24 and a studio from 12/24-12/28 at the 11 month window. After much consideration we decide we really didn't want to change rooms on Christmas Eve (or at all for that matter) and I called last Sun. and changed our reservations so that we are now in a 1 bedroom the whole time we are at SSR 12/21-12/28 so I know there was availability then. Call member services tomorrow and see. The 7 month window for your time frame is getting close so there may be some rooms opening up if people are able to switch their reservations at that time.
