During our week in FL, my mom wants to take my DDs (4&2) to SW for a day. I'm reluctant because A) it takes a day away from DW and B) I'm already going to have trouble coming up with money for DW tickets and I also have a problem with the amount that my mom is paying for on our trip. Granted, my 2 year old LOVES fish but I'm thinking between Epcot and various fish ponds, she should get her fill at DW. I'm not anti-SW but would it be worth the money for my mom, 2 little ones and probably me?

I would say losing 1 day at DW to go to Seaworld wouldn't be that huge of an issue. I think there are plenty of things to do that your young children would enjoy. There is a giant play area designed just for kids their age with a big play net and kiddie rides. There are animal interactions where they can feed and pet sting rays or feed and pet a dolphin. They would love the shows and the aquariums and exhibits there. It's a great experience that will not only be memorable but educational as well.

I did commonly think the same as you, before we moved down here and I actually went to the Seaworld. Our family loves SeaWorld, and I definitely think it is worth the trade of a day, though the costs may be a consideration. If someone has an AP, you can usually get discounted tickets for the rest of the party.

It is so worth it and I still cry at every show! If your child is into fish, DisneyWorld can't compete with seaworld. I say spend the money and enjoy giving to a franchise that rescues mammals!

Out of all the major Orlando parks (all 4 Disney, both Universal and SW), SeaWorld is my favourite. I agree with the other posters and say it would be well worth a trip if the cost is not prohibitive.

I agree with what Gina said! Plus don't forget your ticket for SW is actually good for 2 days. Which in the end will probably save you money if you went both days, and took out a disney or two day!
Seaworld is a beautiful, relaxing park, which gives the slower pace I am looking for and love the breaks of the shows during the day!
