hi-
i'm planning my 1st trip to disney!
i already have my hotel reservation.

do i have to buy tickets through disney?

i heard oyu can get them cheaper through undercover tourist....what are the disadvantages of not purchasing They're so busy that I haven't been able to sort this. In addition, having bit of an issue with internal edit wanting this. I'll be in touch but it doesn't look good.through disney?

if i purchase through undercover tourist, do they link up in MDE?

can i still get fast passes 60 days out?
we are staying at the contemporary..

thanks!

Hard to go wrong with Undercover Tourist. Yes, you can link them to MDX and prebook FP at 60 days like any other ticket.

You can buy tickets through WDW or UCT. If you want the dining plan, then you will need to buy them through WDW. You have to have a package with room and tickets to get the dining plan.
If you are going to pay OOP, then you can buy them at UCT for a little bit cheaper price. We bought our tickets through them and saved about $80 for our 10 day tickets.
They will link up no problem in MDE and you can book FP+ at 60 days out since you are staying on property.
You will love the CR!!

I just bought through UCT for the first time. Saved about $90 for four 5-day park hoppers. Not a huge amount but there is no disadvantage. We did not want a package or dining plan. Received the tickets in about 4 business days and scanned them with my iphone to link them with MDE.

UCT is great. I used them whenever I am not getting a package with Disney. They ship real tickets unlike some other sites. If you subscribe to mousesavers dot com, there is a link for a little additional discount.

I always buy from UCT using the mousesavers newsletter link. I get the ticket that saves me the most and add days once I've used it if it isn't enough days.

You are so right. I did that last year. The discount for the 4 days was better than 6 days on UCT. Purchased the 4 days tixs and upgraded in guest service after first park admission for $10/day. Saved me $$

As the PPs have said, Undercover Tourist is a good option to find less expensive tickets. There doesn't seem to be any downside.

The same cannot be said for all third party re-sellers. Places like Undercover Tourist, Maple Leaf, and a few others seem to get consistently high marks here on the Disboard. So those are safe, but I would avoid third party vendors on places like eBay, Craig's List, etc. Basically, stick to the known/reputable sellers and you should be fine.
