Should I book now or risk it and wait?

There is seat sale going on now that will get us from Ottawa (through Pearson) to Orlando for around $400 each...I know it isn't great but I think it is our best option. We considered going through Syracuse but I don't like the flight times (Plus the AC ones are way better) and I am not a big fan of driving there with our 2.5 year old. I would definitely consider this option when she is older...

So my question is, do I book them now or risk it and wait for something better? We are going in September for Free Dining. I checked and there is tons of room on the plane. And we are willing to fly out on a Tuesday so those flights are always discounted anyways. So just wanted to see what some of you have experienced. Will I get burned if I wait or burned now and maybe they will get even cheaper???

TIA :)

The price is pretty good. We paid 450$ each for what is probably the same Air Canada flights although we are travelling on a weekend and in late August.

We go through the same question whenever we book. The way we look at it is that once you get a sale you should take it. If the price goes up you can lament that you could have gotten a slightly better price but if you don't book and the price goes back to the 600$ or so that it usually is you will really kick yourself.

Have you looked at available flights out of Buffalo? If the times are any better, I'd probably drive an extra 2 hours to Buffalo the day/evening before, and stay at a park/fly hotel overnight. You'll still come out way on top, as far as price is concerned. But yeah, I'm not sure I'd want to drive that long with a 2½ year old either.

$400 looks good to me, but I have to fly out of Charlottetown or Halifax and I consider $550 a good price for around here. Do what feels right for you and your wallet! ;)

If the times are good and the price seems reasonable (as it does) I'd just buy it. Peace of mind is worth something.

I'd book now, my flight booked in October(has gone up 125.00 a person) I think 400.00 is good. I paid 383 from Toronto

That's the $64,000 question isn't it?!?!

If it seems decent-I would go for it. More often than not, fares go up- not down!
