Should I book inside cabin for 7 day?

Our family has only taken the three day cruise. Now we are thinking of booking a 7 day western for Aug. 2004 while on our next three day cruise on Aug. 28, 2003. My husband, looking at the price difference between the veranda, navigator's veranda and porthole rooms thought we should get the inside cat 11 for the 7 day. He believes that we should use cost savings from booking the inside room for excursions, etc. During our three day cruises, we are hardly ever in the room. Is it much different on the 7-day, especially with the two days at sea? I'd like to hear from those who have stayed in a cat 11 on the seven day.
Traveling will be me, DH and DD age 7.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

We had an inside (cat 10) last year and it was fine. We had a secret porthole the year before (both 7 day cruises) and liked having the porthole(at a cat 10 price). This year we will have a veranda, so I can't compare them yet. I kind of liked having a inside when it was nap time (for me or the kids)because the room is very dark. This year the kids are old enough not to need a nap!
DH liked the inside because he has a tendencey to get seasick and not being able to see the horizon seems to help him.

We love the verandas and would not do another 7 day without one. If it was only between not going and inside would we book another inside cabin. Too much to see.
Mary, we were on your island last week. Talked about you and shadow.

We have had both cat. 9 and cat. 10's on the 7 day. We will probably always go with an inside from here on out. We didn't feel we missed anything by being inside (and didn't spend much time in there anyway!) I'd much rather have more money to spend elsewhere. Of course I've never had a verandah (but even then, I'm much too frugal and would prefer to cruise more!)

I had at Cat 12 inside on my first cruise in March, (Altho next time it is Cat 11, they are cheaper). I liked having the inside, and do inside again.
