Should I be able to see my Magical Express info on MDE

Hi,
Just wondering...I do not see anywhere on MDE where my flight info. was loaded or Magical Express is marked off. Is that just not on there? I booked through a TA this time and did give her all the flight info for that reason but did it after we booked and wondering if she just never did anything with it. I'm happy to load it in myself but do not see a place to do so?
Also, if our flight arrives at MCO at 9:00 at night, I probably want to grab my luggage myself before getting on the bus right so I do not have to stay up too late waiting for it to arrive?

Although the luggage pickup cutoff is 10PM, I would grab it myself for the reason you described.

BTW, I don't remember ever seeing Magical Express in MDE. It might be there, but I usually rent a car.

Or you could just have what you need for the night in your carryon bag (which seasoned travelers do all the time) and tell the bell services staff that you'll call them in the morning to deliver your bags.

If you're going to pick up your luggage yourself, make sure you don't put the yellow tags on them.

Good question because I was kind of worried about that, too, though I called Disney and gave them my flight info. for MDE myself.

Our flight doesn't even get in untill 1215 am. They stop picking it up at 10pm. So does someone grab it before it goes on the carousel and out to the people waiting for their luggage and just held in a room until the next morning. We've always gotten it around 6am when we've come in late around 9pm or so but Alaska lost our luggage when we went to Hawaii this spring and we had to go buy new cloths ect for the day because we had pants and sweatshirts on when we left. So I don't want to worry about if they got picked up or not and does DME just pick up all yellow tags or do they know I should have 3 bags and hubby has 2 of his own. Thanks

No. If you arrive after 10:00 PM and you put the ME tags on the bags they go on to baggage claim and go around and around and remain till someone from the airlines pulls them. They put them aside in a pile and they remain there until the Bags Inc folks return the following morning and gather them all up and route them off to Disney.

If your flight if scheduled to arrive after 10:00 PM you shouldn't put the yellow tags on the bag. You should plan to pick them up yourself. The only reason the bags end up at baggage claim with yellow tags are those who's flights were delayed and arrived after 10:00 but were scheduled to arrive before originally. This was our situation and how I know what happens to the bags. Our bags had yellow tags and ended up in baggage claim because our delayed flight landed after 10:00. The Bag's Inc employees leave pretty promptly at 10:00.

The only time you'll see anything about ME on your MDE is after 60 days and you go to do online check in.
Under Your Resort Arrival it will show Disney's Magical Express Transportation
You will not be able to enter an arrival time

We always pack in our carryons PJs, change of clothes & shoes, undies, bathing suit & Flip flops if traveling to warm climate. Learned our lesson the hard way arriving at a beach hotel with nothing when luggage didn’t arrive when we did on a late night flight. Delta said it was on the next flight and we’d get it first thing in the morning, they said they would tag it priority. I guess Delta’s idea of first thing is 5pm.
Ever since we make sure we pack carryon with enough for 24hrs.

How soon do you order Magical Express and when do you get your tags?
I would arrange for Magical Express as soon as you know your flight information. Tags-I think 3-4 weeks before. I always need more and call when I get the original two and I receive the rest a few days later, so I know it's not too close to my arrival.

I intend to book ME as soon as I book our flights
They tell you they send tags about 40 days out

I realized yesterday I never provided our flight info for our trip next week. So I just got around to it yesterday :o

I always add MDE information as soon as we book our flights. Last year we seemed to have issues with our luggage tags not showing up/showing up with wrong information. I had to call three or four times when we were within 3 weeks of the trip. This time, however, we booked through a travel agent and just received our luggage tags with more than 100 days to go.

We are flying in at 5 pm, but I think we are just going to get our own luggage. I don't really want to deal with packing things in my carry-on bag.

What would you do if one of your bags didn't arrive on time? It happens. Often

I'm not sure. I've never had that happen before and have traveled quite a bit. I normally only pack personal items in my carry-on.

Me too.
But,
My suitcase didn't arrive till the next day on our trip in May this year. First time since I was in high school I've had a suitcase get miss-routed.
And I was in high school 40 years ago. I can't tell you how many flights that's been, easily more than 40
Point being, you have no way of knowing when that flight will be for you.
And even worse for us, we use RAC to go home. Going home you think, we don't need anything extra, if a suitcase gets lost, I have extra stuff at home, no big deal, right?
Well, one trip our flight home got cancelled so we got an extra night at Disney. Yay you say? Nay I say, when you realize you sent EVERYTHING you have with RAC that morning. You got nada but the clothes on your body. Now my bag I take on the plane has emergency makeup and 1 nights clothes both coming and going. Toiletries I can make do with with what the resort has but not makeup and not clothes.
