Last week, I confessed here that I was insane...pricing a January trip when we just got back in October. Of course, ya'll came to my defense...or at least confessed to being insane too.

I finally got the courage to bring it up to DH. He DIDN't get out the committment papers, but as I knew he would, he shot down a trip so soon. My arguments fell on deaf ears (Tyler will be 10 in March).

Buuuuttt.....he did say that we MIGHT be able to go on a trip next year...just not in January. I said -- how 'bout March? Nada!

He's going through some changes at work which COULD prove to be profitable...or could be a disaster financially. So...it's a "wait and see". If this thing goes GOOD, maybe a March trip won't be out of the question.

PS - I was dismayed to see that a 4 night stay at the Pop was still going to be $1200, even with the winter promo. Although the winter promo is more about ticket upgrades that we really don't need anyway.

Your not insane.
I start planing my next trip when i'am at WDW.

Hang in there... Whenever you get to go back, just think how great its going to be.

BTW, Disney's high prices really are starting to show now, aren't they? Still a good value, but there have been some significant increases over the last few years IMO.

Sticker shock! I don't know about rising so much, since before October, the last trip was 2003. But $1200 seems high for just a long-weekend stay at a VALUE.

Also - as much as I love on-site, I'd even consider off-site if it would significantly lower the price. After staying at the WL, it didn't seem as though the Disney transportation was that much of a big deal. It IS if you are at a monorail resort - but I found the bus and boat systems very slow.

We stayed at Comfort Inn LBV and the drive over to Boardwalk Inn was very short. And we passed signs for DTD and Epcot. I'd seriously think about off-site.

I've been thinking about heading back to WDW this Jan./Feb. but DH keeps nixing the idea. I understand his reasoning... WDW isn't a very restful vacation for us and we can get a cruise out of NYC/NJ for about the same amount we'd spend on WDW.

Looks like we may not be back to WDW for a couple years. :confused3
