Shorts for December

So I just started my diet for my December trip and I am totally into losing weight. Anyway...I'm upstairs in my shower thinking about how great I'll look when I lose the pounds and then it dawns on me. If I lose the weight I want how am I ever going to find shorts in December that fit me??!!?? Anyone have any suggestions??

Usually if you look on any websites clearance section in the winter, they have summer clothes. Old Navy always seems to. I'm trying to get into some smaller shorts by my December trip also! Good Luck!

i'm wondering the same, if by the time the shorts are being cleared out (maybe Sept?) you'll have a decent idea of what would fit. like in Sept if you can just barely or almost get them on, then in another 10 lbs they'll fit great. figure about a pound per week of loss after the initial woosh you'll have when starting your new lifestyle changes. (note: i prefer not to say the 'd' word )

I'm thinking the same as has been suggested. I really like the idea of end of the season sales.

Or, maybe shopping online in a store where it is warmer might be a thought.

I'm thinking the same way. I'm hoping to get a few pairs on clearance in august or september. I actually have a pair of shorts that I love in XL, and saw them on sale this week, and bought a L. I can put them on and zip them but they are too tight, and I'm hoping that by Nov they will be comfortable.

I would wait for the final clearances and buy pairs in 2 or 3 sizes. 2 years ago I did it and it worked out well. I paid like $2 a pair so buying extra wasn't a problem. Some of them I fit into right away some of them ended up being for the next summer. I'm still trying to get into the ones I bought last fall.

I like the outlet sites on the web. LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, Coldwater Creek etc all have outlet sites and they have out of season clothes so buying shorts in December should not be a problem, plus the prices are much better. I don't know if you are thrift store shopper but I always get great deals at the thrift store too.
