shortie wetsuit for 11/29 eastern sailing?

Just wondering if someone could give me some info regarding water temp and "critters". Friends said we might want to take our wet suits when we go 11/29/03 because of cool water and sea lice etc, as we are planning several snorkeling trips. Anyone have some input? Thanks!

I am on that sailing! I have been in November before and the water was not that cold and I have never had a problem with sea lice...so I guess I wouldn't bother with it...Keep in mind that I am from New England and our ocean temps are about 65 in the summer...!

Another person from MA., we have sailed twice in December and found the water MUCH warmer than it is here in the summer. I don't see any need for a wet suit. Also we have never been bothered by sea lice, I think they are mostly in the summer if I recall correctly- I could be wrong.

I seem to remember the water temp on our Dec. 1 2002 sailing of between 78 and 82 degrees. I'm sure it was 82 in CC. I definately know the water was much warmer than lake michigan in Dec. heheheheeh

No sea lice on either of our sailings.

Thanks for the input, I think we will leave the wetsuits home. Just about anything is warmer than Michigan in the winter.
