Planning my park days with the fewest steps possible (thanks Advanced Arthritis).
Is it a shorter walk to Tron from
A. The front of the park
B. The Fantasyland Railway station.

Thanks in advance!

I think from the Fantasyland Railway station if you exit from the train to the path on the left that runs to Tron.

Someone else needs to comment - I was just there last week and saw people taking this path (actually in an ECV) as I was exiting Tron, but I didn't take it personally so I could be wrong - or maybe it is blocked somewhere I don't know about. I guess you have to think about the steps up to the train and maybe the wait. I personally like going down Main Street and getting coffee and stopping halfway. ;) I rope drop Starbucks haha!

I use an ECV because of my arthritic knees - had one replaced in January and having the other done in September and I can't walk far. I guess you know I'm gonna suggest renting an ECV because you can do most rides and park it right outside or take in the queues. For a long time I could rent one and sometimes park it and walk around that land and do the rides...until my knees got to where I can barely walk. Believe me - I am the master of taking the fewest steps at this point even in my house. :scared: Disney is the only vacation I have been able to take for a long time.

Yes I knew ECV would be a suggestion!
I did ECV and push wheelchair last year at universal, and it did add value to the trip as I was no longer the rate limiting factor to family fun.

Then 5 months later I was at Disney and managed without one, which I’m hoping to do now. I’ve had one knee replaced as well, and the other will wait until my kids start college in a couple years.

Some days and some parks may involve a wheelchair for me this trip, I’m open to it if needed. I don’t love the ECV because I feel like I spend so much concentration on driving I miss being able to look around and enjoy the vibe.

Thanks for the insight on the pathway!!

Perhaps post in the theme park board because I'd hate for you to get off the train and then that path is blocked with construction or something.

Wait...the MK has a vibe?! haha! Yeah I hear you on the ECV driving. MK isn't too bad for walking because seems like I'd stop a lot and ride something or be standing in line, but Epcot would do me in. And sometimes the distance from the hotel to the bus to the park gate. I hope your knee holds up but if not, using the ECV and parking and walking worked well for me for a long time (and I'd send a family member to bring the ECV to me if I had walked too far away - like doing a circle of Epcot).

Railway station. Once you get off, cut through the back behind and it’ll lead right up to tron. Did this just last week and left my ECV behind.

The path is open and a shorter walk from the Fantasyland train station than from front of the park.

Love that little "shortcut" by the railway station! We have been to WDW many times and just discovered it last trip.
