Hi, I am a DL and WDW maven, but I know nothing about DLP. We are planning a trip to Europe for the end of May -- a week in Italy followed by a week in the UK, and my DD9 has made it clear that she wants to go to Paris and DLP between the two. (DH and I have been to Paris many times, so this will just be kiddy-type touring.) So we're thinking about taking the train from Milan to Paris over Thursday night, and heading to the UK by train on Sunday. That gives us two nights and two days in Paris. I'd like to spend one day at DLP and one day in Paris, but both nights at a hotel at DLP -- is that reasonable? It looks like the packages on the DLP web site price the two nights with 3-day tickets -- does that mean I can't (or shouldn't) book it as a package, with them or anybody?

Also, we're a family of 5 who really must be all in one room. Has anyone here stayed in the "family rooms for 6" at the Santa Fe? What is the bedding layout? Any other suggestions?

Thank you for any help you can provide!

We're a family of 5 who have often stayed in the Explorers which is offsite but very close to the magic. They do rooms for 6 which consist of a room with one double and two single beds and a smaller room coming off that with a set of bunk beds, the only negative is that there's only one bathroom but the toilet is separate from the bathroom so that does help.

If you were to stay here there are free shuttle buses (5 minutes) to the parks, the stop at the parks is also the train station where you get the train to Paris (40 minutes).

Have a look at the Explorers thread in the Hotel FAQ sticky at the top of the page as there's a diagram showing the room layout in it. If you decide to stay here don't book a package through Disney as it'll be more expensive, instead book through either the hotel's own site or someone like Expedia, Travel Republic etc etc and buy just the tickets you need separately.

If you're looking to stay on site you might be cheaper with two rooms than going for the larger room at Santa Fe. We usually take 2 rooms (when 5 of us are going) and have always asked for interconnecting rooms. It's great having two bathrooms too :thumbsup2
