I have read here several times that Beaches and Via Napoli do not allow sharing on the ddp but do when oop. Both DH and I have had stomach surgery years ago and typically we share meals and our kids are used to the grazing style- we always do 3 meals but some are smaller. On our last day we will only have 2 credits left for dinner and I wondered what would happen if we dined at one of these places that do not allow sharing if we did not have enough credits for all 4- would they force us to order for 4 and pay oop :confused3. Also if we ordered the kitchen sink for dessert for the kids for fun and that is not on the ddp would that count as ordering something for them and we could still use 2 meal credits?

Thanks

Concerning the Kitchen Sink, they would charge you OOP for that. You could still use your credits for the meals.

As for the places charging you if you share...I am not sure, but if they don't allow it, chances are they will charge you for the other 2.

The Kitchen Sink is not included in the DDP so you would have to pay OOP for it.

At Via Napoli two of us were able to share. My daughter used a dining credit to order a pizza while I ordered an appetizer. We ended up sharing without a problem.

There was one report from a guest who was not allowed to share individual pizzas on the dining plan at Via Napoli so it seems to be luck of the draw there.

Ok- i know the kitchen sink would be oop, but could we order that for the kids and then order 2 meals on ddp for us or would we have to order that plus 4 meals? Really our only reason to go here would be for the kids to have the kitchen sink but I thought we should eat some real food. Obviously we would not need any other desserts at the table. :rotfl2:

I was wondering at Via Napoli if we were on DDP but only had 2 credits would they require us to order 4 meals and pay oop for 2. We are probably doing dxdp so that would be WAY too much food.

If you run into the same situation at Via Napoli that the other poster reported, you would have to buy individual pizzas for each guest, you couldn't share them. According to most reports though, you can spend 2 adult credits on a large pizza and share that. Not logical, but it's not a Disney restaurant and their servers apparenly don't have it all together about the dining plan.

We ran into some fuzzy logic at Via Napoli too. Three adults, two of us on the DDP. Ordered a large pizza for 2 TS credits, third person ordered a salad and paid OOP. We all shared. So it looks like the third person has to order something, may not need to be a full meal.

We were able to buy 2 meals with DDP at beaches. We paid OOP for a Brownie Sundae for DS. DS shared our meals with us no problem. But he was in pure heaven with that sundae!!!!

Ok- I think my plan is 2 skip B&C unless we do ddp instead of dxdp in which case I will just pay for the whole thing oop- It does not make sense to pay for a dessert when doing dxdp since we will already have way too many :goodvibes.

As for Via Napoli I will make sure we have enough credits and just plan on taking tons of food home - how does pizza on a road trip sound :rotfl: oh well- I think the kids would eat pizza tied to the roof of the car so maybe we put it in a cooler and have a picnic. :confused3 I will of course TRY to order what I want because honestly I think 2 kids cs meals would be better to take home but I think I am making it more difficult then it really is.

Plus I realized I messed up my orginal spreadsheet somehow I was actually under 20 kids credits :rotfl2: We do a lot of sharing IRL (rarely order more then 2-3 meals even with out apps and usually only 1-2 desserts) and usually still have some food to take home so when doing dxdp we do 3 small meals a day and since we share at non buffets of course we still can hit a signature or show.

Thanks for all the help.

Will you have adult TS credits left or children TS credits left?? We had 2 childrens TS credits left and ate at B&C. We ordered both of the kids their own meals with their credits and the adults bought their meals OOP.

The above person who was sharing meals at B&C, the child looks as though he may be under 3, and it is always permitted to share meals with a child under age 3.
