Short of a Cattle Prod, how does one get people to send back their RSVPs?

I hear ya Meg. I've sent out 30 invites 2 months ago and as of now, I got 5 RSVPs left. I need to give my WP a head count in 2 weeks. Will I have them back on time?

Makes me so angry! My Bridezilla side will have to come out when I call everyone to find out if they're coming or not.

Same sad story here! We sent Save-The-Dates in January, since we're getting married Labor Day weekend. Formal invitations followed at the beginning of June. With our deadline of 8/1 approaching, we only have 57% of our RSVPs back. I'm one of those people who sends the card back the day I receive the invite, so it's uber-frustrating. Plus our hotel block closes on 8/4 and I'll be pretty pissed if I hear complaints because someone didnt get the discounted rate b/c they were too late. How much easier do people need it to be? Self-addressed envelope - check; pre-stamped - check...geez!
I'm glad we're not the only ones in this situation!
