I live near a small airport, Shoreham Airport which they are trying to rename "Brighton City". We go there quite a lot to the little café and eat cake whilst watching the planes taking off and landing. Beautiful art deco terminal. Claim to fame? The first commercial airport in the world. Not really used much any more international wise but a favourite haunt. Was used during WW2 to station spitfires in.
