Hi! I'm fairly new here so I hope I'm posting in the correct place.....

I am heading to WDW next month with my family from Australia. It's a big trip and I am so daunted by all the planning that I should have done by now.

We are looking forward to taking some time out to shop (clothes, shoes, toys) and I'm looking for advice on nearby malls, Targets, Walmarts etc that we can easily access either by bus, taxi or hiring a car for a day. I've also seen that there are two different outlet malls. Are either of these any good?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Between ADR's and Fastpasses and leaving this all too late to properly organise, my brain is struggling to cope with working out the shopping too!!

I am not sure where you are staying, but we prefer the Walmart on Turkey Lake Road. We have also been to the one on Vineland (it is nearer to our timeshare) but found it much busier (and therefore MUCH slower.....but generally we just want to grab a few groceries and go).

The Premium Outlets....one on I-Drive near Universal and the other on Vineland near SW.....are both excellent shopping destinations. The store selections can and do overlap in each mall, though, so you may just want to look at the individual stores listings for both properties and plan to visit whichever location offers the stores you want to shop at.

There is a third (and much smaller) outlet mall on the 535 which sometimes offers some good deals as well (the Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlets). We find that one more hit and miss, but parking isn't generally a huge headache there (it can be at the premium outlet locations) so we usually always stop at least once.

We also love the Nike Clearance Store in Kissimmee. For sportswear and shoes, their prices generally can't be beat. That seems to be the place we spend the bulk of our shopping budget.

Thank you for your reply. We are staying onsite at Pop. I'll check out each place you mentioned. Nike clearance store sounds very promising!!

The nicest/best mall in Orlando is the Mall at Millenia. It's more upscale than The Florida Mall (the other major indoor shopping mall), but it's beautiful and has a lot of great stores. There's also a Target close to Millenia. Florida Mall is HUGE; it has a ton of stores and caters to tourists. It can be kind of crazy there but it still may be worth checking out.

Thank you! I've got some great options now :) Maybe time to start getting excited instead of stressing out.
