Shopping Thanksgiving Day-Which stores are open and having sales?

My family will mostly be out of town this year for Thanksgiving so I am considering getting out and doing a little shopping to keep from feeling too lonely this year. Can you tell me which stores are open and holding sales on Thanksgiving day? Don't know if I will really do this as in my mind this is a wonderful family holiday, but I might need a distraction as I will be missing my dear family this year!

K-mart is always open on Thanksgiving. Toys R Us is opening at 10 PM on Thursday.

Maybe you should just stay in bed, eat your favorite junk food, read a good book, and watch the Disney parade that day!

Sears (for the first time in history, I believe) will also be open! I agree with PP though--stay in bed and eat and watch TV!

All Walmart stores should be open, as well...

Meijer and Michaels will be open. And I saw that Old Navy will offer Black Friday deals to cardholders on Thursday as well.

I will be with my family, but I'm still thinking a little break might be nice. Either way, I hope you enjoy your day!
