Shopping outside of WDW???

Any suggestions on shopping for outside of WDW for gifts to bring back home, that it close to the Epcot area? We would take a taxi. Is it a considerable $ difference vs buying at DTD?

Shop on the disney shopping website..check out the sale items...then have the parcel delivered to your resort. We usually do a lot of shopping ahead of time this way for friends & family. Buy our gifts ahead of time for super cheap and don't have to carry all the shopping bags around!!
We bought aluminum water bottles for $2.99 Shirts for $2.99-4.99 Hoodies for $7.99. can't beat the prices!

If you are looking for things that are offical WDW or say WDW on them, there really isn't a good location close to the World.

If you go to DTD you can take a city bus (The Links) down the main road (I think it's rt 536) and you will run into a plethora of gift shops and Walmart that sells Florida/Disney themed merchandise.

Cheaper than a cab ride and it's not very far from DTD (maybe a 15 min car ride). The bus will bring you right back to DTD from there. So a bit of walking will be involved but if that will solve your request....

Not sure of the distance from Epcot, but there is a Disney outlet at the Premium Outlets on Vineland. We looked at Minnie Mouse dresses for little girls there on our Christmas trip, and they were being sold at a significant discount as compared to those being offered at Downtown Disney (exact same outfit!).
