2 days to WDW!

We LOVE to shop in WDW! Prices are not outrageous, I would liken them to clothing prices at the GAP.

Happy shopping!

They are comparable to other theme parks... yes, I think they're overpriced =)

If you want to buy lots of souveniers and such, check out the character outlets... they are worth the drive! I bought MANY items there that I just saw at hte parks at half the price. They have TONS of things =)

There is also a Universal Parks outlet thats worth stopping by if you want things from there.

also depends on the type of gift you will need to buy. there are tons of little things in the 4-7 dollar range, if you are just needing a token gift. t shirts are probably at least 15 and up. Have a great trip! if you have never been, i think you will be astonished at the amount of shopping and merchandising at WDW, I am still amazed every time we go! it's a shoppers paradise

Thanks so much!! Yes, I've been to WDW but only for one day! Thanks again!!

Important hint for shopping. If you are staying on property, you can send your purchases back to your hotel. If you are not staying on property, you can send your purchases to the front of the park and pick them up on your way home. Makes shopping much more fun without lunging tons of bags with you. We have also discovered that is better to just ship larger things home. It isn't very expensive. One trip, we got to know our UPS guy by name!

skippelm compares the prices at Disney stores to the GAP, which is true, but if you ask me the GAP is also highly overpriced. Expect to pay $20 - $25 for a tshirt and $40 - $50 for a golf shirt or other collared shirt. Small toys from the bargain bins for children (posably figures, light up toys, etc.) run around $5 - $6. Also expect to pay much higher than you are used to for any disposables, like film, snacks, or sunscreen. Sure, you can find bargains and good deals, but overall the parks and DTD are very expensive.

If you are staying onsite, go ahead and send your packages to your resort, BUT only from the parks. If you are shopping at another resort, i.e. staying at the ASM and shopping at the boardwalk, DO NOT have your packages sent to the resort. They are great at park to resort delivery. They haven't figured out how to work the resort to resort delivery. In October, it took our stuff over a week to make it from the Boardwalk to OKW. It didn't make it before we left and had to be shipped. The CM's I spoke with trying to figure everything out said to never ship from resort to resort. Be warned.

The Wal-mart in Orlando by the airport has great stuff and great prices.. For example A princess hair brush was $10 at WDW at the walmart the same thing, package and all was only $4.95..

T-shirts are usually about $10.00 there. The Walmart in Kissimee is more than the one in Orlando. As we found out by buying a tote bag at one for $4 and at the other one in Kissimee it was $6..

But watch out! we were there for 8 days and the merchandise chnaged.. So if you see something that you want.. Buy it then because it could be gone..

Thanks Repunzel

It's our 1ST trip to U.S.A and have a lot to fit in but im sure we can fit a bit of shopping in;)

Wal-Mart sounds like my kind of shop:D

The prices there are very high i was wandering around and found some off site stores that carry t-shirts and stuff very reasonable priced
